Lukas worked fourteen years behind five-star bars before opening his own cocktail lounge in Kreuzberg eighteen months ago. Thursday through Saturday runs at 90 % capacity. Wednesdays are dead — €1,200 a month in lost rent for the same payroll base. Tuesday 6 PM he sets a geo-promo: "First cocktail free with map check-in", radius 600 m, served only to hotel guests nearby.

Pharma rep from Stockholm, conference hotel two streets over, three colleagues waiting at the lift. Four-minute walk. She checks in, the free Negroni lands, they stay three hours. Tab: €184. Lukas taps her on the shoulder and pours a round of house rum on the way out.

Six weeks in, Wednesday averages 38 covers instead of eleven. Margin per cover is slightly lower from the promo, but week profit is up €2,100. By February two Wednesdays are full on bookings alone, no promo needed.
